The ioSafe 218 2-Bay NAS Enclosure offers robust reliability and unparalleled data protection from natural disasters. It is fireproof up to 1550°F for 30 minutes and waterproof when submerged in up to 10′ of water for 72 hours. Cloud-enabled and powered by Synology’s DiskStation Manager operating system, it delivers remote access, collaboration, file syncing, and more.
This 2-bay NAS natively supports 3.5″ and 2.5″ SATA drives and SSDs, driven by a 1.4 GHz Realtek RTD1296 Quad-Core processor and 2GB DDR4 RAM for smooth multitasking and quick file access. Featuring USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports for system connectivity, and Gigabit Ethernet or Wi-Fi for network connectivity, it’s designed for versatility.
Running on DiskStation Manager (DSM), it simplifies NAS management and data sharing, supporting various RAID modes for data redundancy and speed, including RAID 0, 1, Basic, Synology Hybrid RAID, and JBOD for individual drive utilization.
This NAS is engineered for energy efficiency with a 92mm cooling fan, scheduled power cycles, and hard drive hibernation, operating on 100-240 VAC and included with a 60W AC adapter, AC power cord, and RJ45 LAN cable, backed by a 1-year limited hardware warranty.
